NOTE: Hope this doesn’t bring anyone down or anything. It was just a thought that occurred to me as myself and several others ran on treadmills at the gym today… and it made me grin as I ran, which probably made me look kind of crazy. Oh well.
PS. Yes I am a Blur fan. 🙂
NOTE: Want this cartoon on a T-shirt? No? Oh. Well in that case, this is a little awkward… because I’ve just made this shirt available in several different styles on my Cafe Press store. It’s here: http://www.cafepress.com/therut

I had a small problem with my heart. After being told that among other things, I have to workout regularly, that’s exactly how I feel.

I just happened to come across your site today and am cracking up.
I went to Google Images and typed: ‘Surprise’ — as i was looking for a pix for a certain work email I had to reply to.
One of the results was the ‘animal surprises’ — your cartoon of the dog with his pup and the cat with the bird.
i couldn’t stop laughing == and long story short – i’ve now spent at least one hour browsing your site. FABULOUS. i live in Hong Kong. i’ve shared with some friends too. GOOD WORK man. I don’t know how you get all the creativity – but i love it.

Cristiane, thanks for the kind words, it’s nice to hear you dig my stuff. 🙂
feeling awfully guilty about neglecting The Rut… but too busy working on another project to give this the time it needs. I look forward to getting some time to kick this off again!
Thanks again
Phil
PS. I loved Hong Kong. Didn;t love the hangover I got there, though. 🙂

Phil – welcome to the the XPATS’ club my friend re: your hangover story.
HK rocks. I’ve lived in some cool cities but HK by far beats all others in regards to partying… it’s tough! I know limit myself to only ONE BIG night a week. that’s it. not getting any younger (none of us here really) and work, yoga, partying..hmmm hard to manage!
Hey i can only imagine it is difficult to keep up with THE RUT. I started a blog last year and honestly… all i could do was 3 entries! hahaha
there’s not enough time.
but you have enough material here. pretty good. will keep checking back.

certainly like your website but you need to take a
look at the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling
problems and I in finding it very bothersome to tell the reality then
again I will definitely come again again.
