1. Where’s the categories for this comic.
2. It’s past 5pm local time. Where’s the next comic.
3. http://nimishbatra.wordpress.com/tag/comic/feed/ is the RSS feed for my comics. Or posts tagged comic. If they’re not funny, they must be inside jokes, or puns that are “you had to be there” moments from the various quizzes and classes I’ve attended in college. Once I run out of those, I’ll slap in some actual jokes.

I don’t get it. Besides, what is wrong with Mormons?

Hee-hee; that one’s great!!
Our friends, the stormin’ Mormons, do put their action where their good book is (by which I meand The Book of Mor(m)on, that is); very few sects/creeds/stripes spread their own take on the Good Word nowadays — at least not door-to-door.
I’m Catholic, and had the delight (=chutzpah) one summer day of inviting a pair of Mo(m)ons into my house when they showed up at my door. Once they were seated comfortably on my couch, with bottles of cold water (DON”T give a Mormon anything caffeinated!), I proceeded to tell them where their teachings were flawed — both theologically, and in terms of science/history/archeology.
Then I sent them on their way, inviting them to stop back again anytime. So far they haven’t… so I’ve never needed to install the fun device your cartoon pivots on. Still…

Maybe it wasn’t banned for taking a shot at Mormons, rather for lack of talent. How did this stupid post make the front page of WordPress?

AgingChild, perhaps when they saw how little you understand them and how narrow-minded and unwilling to understand them you are, they realized they had better things to do than try to share information with you that might actually benefit you and your family…

Wow, the most dangerous religious fanatics – not Jihadists – but Mormons. I’m afraid there are more bigots than not in this ‘enlightened’ world.

Another sterling example of religious thinking and it’s splendid “tolerance”. Good catch.

Yawn… trying to be controversial for the sake of being controversial is never controversial.

I sense tension in the room.
Mormons door-knocking antics are amusingly annoying, and this was just a friendly jibe. I don’t wish them any real harm. That boxing glove in the cartoon? It’s made of nerf and is very soft… I swear. Besides, any Mormons I have offended can take solace in the fact that one day I will be burning in hell while they will not.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… it’s just a cartoon. Just take a deep breath… everything will be ok…
PS. An athiest goes door-knocking in Salt Lake City:
This is funny. Probably not if you’re a mormon. Or take things too seriously. Jump to 2mins30 if you want to skip the opening rant.

I dunno, I was a guest in mormon country for a number of years and they are just like everyone else. They have liberals and conservatives, those who like smutty stories and those who don’t. corny cartoons etc. etc. Above all,
most of the mormans I know laughed at themselves–alot.
They know their own foibles can be funny or even stifling at times. As a Catholic I can’t criticise, and out of a billion catholics a bucketful of slime is allowed into the church and that makes the church all bad???!! Hardly. They are men with boils and piles, and pimples and warts. They have the same lusts and ordinary power hunger as the rest of us. I can’t speak for other religions but Jesus had a saying for just about everything. Too bad the Bible thumpers tore thse chapters out. I don’t see God where I see hate and anger, I don’t God where there is no happiness, I don’t see God in the boxes you have built for him–As a sinner I have to stay away from those who would tempt me into thinking they know my salvation. I am one of the very few on this earth who has died (7minutes in my case) and two other times I dont even count. I know what happens when the soul leaves the body. No man can scare me
and no man can tell me he knows whats going to happen when we die. What I do now is in private and I have said far to much but I am already forgiven and being laughed at—and with. I wish I could tell you more but I can’t. You have to find out these things for yourself.
The mormans used to visit me when I was shut in, as did the baptists, the catholics and the ones that have that paper about the wold is ending and they were all very nice.
YOu know, I have discovered that it is what we see in others eyes that we see in our own–and often we havent really looked hard enough or far enough to get a good reading. I wouold say God Bless, but we are already blessed, so I’ll just say, thank you FATHER in Heaven for another beautiful day and for all the wonders you saw to give to us, and especially for chocolate and pizza and for the mormans too. They really dont need anyone to stick up for them. Except that one that….

The way I see it, if the Mormons can laugh at themselves – a lot, then why are we all upset on their behalf? Everyone in this world should be able to stand a little ribbing.

Former LDS Missionary
I personally (as a member of the LDS Church) don’t find the cartoon offensive, rather the title of the article. Take your shot at us, but don’t think for a second this would be banned or supressed by Utahns. In fact, it would probably get a lot of laughs in the local papers.
It’s not like the LDS are going to issue fatwas and death threats like the Muslims did with the jab at Mohammed.

My comment (see about 12 inches up [what’s that in metric?]) wasn’t in reference to the cartoon – I like it. It was in reference to AgingChild’s post. I think these cartoons are hilarious.

Mormans don’t issue fataws—they shake thier feet. So if you see one in a sheet shakin it….
Seriously Speaking, though….
The joke is actually quite funny. It’s the “fornians” cant
laugh at themselves. My God, they watch that real TV all day then look around to see who they can bust. They all think they are cops but will stand by while two guys work over another in the parking lot. Im the only one tried to stop it and Im all crippled up. So someone took my license number came around and wanted to know why was I involved.
Cause the guy on the ground is a mexican. Then they followed me around for a couple days, fnally figured I was not much of a threat, my wheel chair is too slow to do much damage. My right claw though…watch it

Wow I think this was funny and again not because you would ever do this to someone but because it should be taken as it was meant – as a joke. There are too many people getting too offended about every little thing done, said and drawn and from this stems religiousintolerance and a lack of respect for others opinions even if they are not the same as yours. Just chill and I recommend everyone laugh at yourselves everynow and this kind of insignificant cartoon won’t matter too much.

mormons do think alot like the muslim terrorist though, for an example when that guy in utah got harassed by mormons b/c he had a brand name of a wine merlot on his license plate, yet a friend of mine whos a detective in utah does his share of arresting so many mormons for DUI’s, such hypocrits mormons can be

Anybody can say bad things about the MOrmons. This is just a free comment you want to share… Yes of course… There are also mormons who are also goats on their own backyard just like any religions. The number one hypocrites are those that pretend to be Mormons but in real life cannot follow the standards of a real Mormon. But honestly… I have decided to join this sect because I am a truth seeker… I am from the Philippines and most of us here wants peace. We have already suffered a lot of disturbances in our country. In fact, I was before an anti-American because of their being Imperialists..,racist, proud, bastards, non respecter, etc… but when I came to know the doctrine of the Mormons… My heart softens and I have felt peace deep inside. I have listened the message of the two young men missionaries. I was touched with their sincerity. I admire them because not all teenagers in America will have that desire and guts to serve God. (Teenagers in America wants to become a rock star, hip-hop, a sports idol or sometimes an alcoholic and drug addicts). But these two young Americans of which many Americans used to mocked them as CULTS..,and POLYGAMIST..,(In real life there are many hypocrites in other religions who says they are monogamist. Many of them have live-in partners). I was impressed. They are true Americans.
Yes, we can laughed anybody…but please learn to respect others. This is what I want to know If anybody wishes to become a true American or a true Christian. I think you can find Christ in your life if you know how to respect others. RESPECT THEIR RIGHTS!!! This is the true essence and the very basic principle of DEMOCRACY.
Let us make fun but do not hurt nor discriminate others. I guarantee…we can also gain respect in ourselves in return.
Do not compare Mormons with the terrorists. They are very far from what you think Bro. Tyler… Just be an open minded. Not all Mormons are bad. Most of them are good.

Wow, people are making a big deal out of a cartoon with some truth to it. I call this mild satire. Those who say “bad taste” and get offended, if you don’t like this, don’t come here. No one is enforcing their ideals on you. I sure as hell find it quite satisfying that no more Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons come knocking at our door. [nudge] [nudge] [wink] [wink]

I’m sincerely sorry if this offends you but I think that you have the wrong idea about Mormon practices. Most of the people that have a problem with Mormons don’t actually know what we believe or what we practice. For an example we do not have concubines or more than one wife.We also don’t believe in a different Jesus Christ than other Christians we believe in the one that was born to the virgin Mary and died on the cross for us and that bled from every pore in the Garden of Getsemety.I think that maybe you should talk to a Mormon missionary and get your facts straight and then maybe you will not feel so badly about Mormons and understand that we don’t think other Christian religions are wrong but that they don’t have the whole truth.

I find this cartoon rather funny. One thing comes to mind when I see this, sheer ignorance. There will always be people who will try and make fun (amongst other things) of the Church. The glove is nothing compared to what Missionaries out in the field experience. There are far worse acts committed against missionaries not only here in our homeland of America, but abroad.

umm hey cathoic dude who is atacking mormons lets see you think our doctrine is flaed how about the fact tht the first pope didnt show up for 200 hundred years after the supposed first pope died. Do you know where you guys got the idea of the god head??? from a council of philosophers that were called together by the king of rome (side not ONE OF THE MOST WICKED CIVILIZATIONS TO EVER CURSE THE EARTH) there are so many flaws in your basic beleifs not to mention your deep doctrine there is no end to this constant blinded batter from ppl like you

Everybody just chill
I’m a Mormon and I’m not offended by this cartoon
it’s just a harmless joke, just laugh.
The sad part about it
is that we have to leave our families(by our own choices)
for 2 years to become missionaries, and we have to
walk far distances to preach our own gospel.

i was a mormon missionary, and i knew i was annoying people almost every time i knocked on a door. it was all good though because the message was true, whether or not people accepted it. i never saw a boxing glove doorbell, but it would have been sweet. the cartoon is fine.

Well, I’m mormon too, and I laughed a lot! It was simple but funny, you’re quote talented!
And woah, woah, you guys on the comments, stop saying that this is right or that this is wrong, or that the people that follow this faith are mean and these other aren’t…
You can’t judge a whole CHURCH just because of people you’ve met. I’ve met terrible people that were catholics, but my best friend is catholic. The same thing happens with latter-day saints, we’re people too! And like any kind of people, some are good guys and some are mean folks.
And I really appreciatte the fact that most people tried to teach a few things here and there, but come on, it’s a cartoon blog comment section! There’s a time for everything.

Banned Utah Humor !
(1) Three levels of LDS heaven: celestial, terrestrial, cholesterol !
(2) LDS houses are painted by Ladder-Day Saints.
(3) Brigham Young, when looking down on the Salt Lake Valley, said “This is the place.” How come so many folks settled in that valley if he looked down on it?
(4) Did Adam Swapp get his wives at a Swapp meet?
(5) New Mormon cat food: 9 Wives !
(6) What’s a plastic covered Indian? A laminated Lamanite. Of course I’ve known this since I was Nephite to a grasshopper.
(7) Mormon: Someone who is more man than woman. Is “Mormon” short for “More Money”?
(8) Mormonism teaches that we can know truth if there is a “burning in the bosom.” Joseph Smith was the first Mormon who had a bosom below his belt !
(9) Brigham lived in the Lion House which helped him to keep on Lion.
(10) Utah is the only state where you can spell “Moron” with two m’s. And it’s the only state where the sheep take care of the cattle !
(Glenn Beck, Jon Huntsman Jr., Warren Jeffs, Thomas Monson, and Mitt Romney did not approve of the above humor.)
