Thank you for being so patient. As I keep telling my long-suffering girlfriend Claire, this is just a busy work phase I am going through, and once it is over, I will lavish attention on her, and take her out for many a romantic dinner.
The same applies for readers of the rut. In a month or so, when things aren’t so crazy, I will be back tooning at full capacity. And as for the romantic dinner… I will pick you all up at 8. And can you wear that snazzy black number I like?

Why not send her white roses in the meantime, with small cards bearing song lyrics, which have secret messages coded into the musical notes?
Keeping the mystery alive and that sort of thing. Or was it long gunfights with slow-mo sequences and awesome zoom and unlimited reloads?

Although I suppose it depends on what the messages you code into the music say. Just be carfeul you don’t start dating some autistic genius girl who can decode stuff like that, or you might get a slap, sunshine.
